Transportation from Bangkok – Pattaya
The newly constructed and completed Bangkok - Chonburi motorway linked many access points in Bangkok include Ram Indra, Rama 9 at Sri Nakarin, or at Bangna Trad access. All drivers using this motorway need to pay 2 times fee, 30 baht each at Lad Krabang and another one at the temporally toll bar at Pahn Thong (This price is set for all 4 wheels vehicles) before taking Highway 7 and cross to Highway 36 at Krating Lai intersection before taking a few minutes to Pattaya.
Bangna – Trad Road
Also this is an alternative option to get to Pattaya by using Bangna Trad (highway 34) all the way through Bangplee and cross over the Bangpakong river before connect to highway 3 heading directly to Chonburi Province, Sri Racha and Pattaya. The trip from Bangkok to Pattaya shouldn’t take more than 2 hours.

GETTING TO PATTAYA From Suvarnabhumi Airport
Bangkok and Pattaya are now serviced by Suvarnabhumi Airport, which is located southeast of Bangkok, just off Bangna-Trad Highway – on the way to Pattaya. There are direct transport links from the airport to Pattaya (and Bangkok, too, if you want to go there).
TAXI – As of 2007, the regular taxi fare from the airport taxi desk is 1300 baht from the airport to Pattaya. This kind of transportation is not strictly fixed per person, so sharing is acceptable. This is perhaps the most ideal transport, especially for people who are unfamiliar with Pattaya before looking for Pattaya Floating Market once you get here.
Regular and irregular buses from Bangkok
If you’re staying in Bangkok before heading down to Pattaya, there are a number of travel options.
BUSES – Coach service from Bangkok to Pattaya is available from either Mo Chit (Northern Bus Terminal) or from Ekkamai (Eastern Bus Terminal) on Sukhumvit Road. As of 2007, a one-way ticket costs around 120 baht. Beware of the lower-priced buses – they run a much slower, local route than the express buses. After arriving at the Pattaya air-con bus station, you will need to take other transport to get to Pattaya Floating Market. Hiring baht bus to Pattaya Floating Market should not be more than 200 baht or you can either wait for the Beach Bus service just right there in front of the bus station as the beach bus should pass their around 13.27hrs, 15.27hrs, 17.27hrs, and 19.27hrs. The beach bus should take about 20 minutes to get to Pattaya Floating Market.
